Box Boom

I came, I saw and experienced;
A chamber that lacks convenience.
A room that resembles a box,
A cell or a storage of stocks.

No windows to stick out my head,
Seems like a coffin for the dead.
A space that’s just enough for me.
Close-walled prison; nothing to see.

In the beginning, since I came,
This maid’s bedrooms are all the same.
Narrow space, out of privacy.
Box room; unusual and empty.

So I wished for a luxury,
A little convenience would be.
A room of comfort and serene.
Cozy; a room that we’ve all seen.

A bedside table with a lamp,
Carpeted floor that’s safe from damp.
Shelves, wardrobe not under the bed,
And drawers not over my head.

A bed just an inch from the floor.
A window or two on the wall.
Wider and spacious for a lass;
The usual room anyone has.
