About us
In 2013, the Department of Humanities and Creative Writing at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) launched the world’s first and only bilingual creative writing degree in Chinese and English. This Creative and Professional Writing Programme (CPW) is committed to developing practice-based research in creative writing and promoting creative writing pedagogy.
The works showcased here are mainly by the participants’ who joined our creative writing workshops titled “Our Xi Xi | Our City.” The participants came from different backgrounds, and while some regard Chinese as their first language, some do not. They all read Xi Xi’s works and wrote their own stories based on our suggested prompts in either Chinese or English.
